Terrific Tuesday: Diwali

Diwali Festival of Light

This October half-term, our Terrific Tuesday will be looking at Diwali - the Hindu festival of lights.

Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance" and the festival takes place each autumn.

With drumming workshops, dancing, dressing up, storytelling and craft activities, all the family can join in the celebration.

Craft and clay modelling activities will include making Diyas - candle holders that are a traditional part of Diwali celebrations, and Rangolli designs - a multi-coloured decoration that symbolises wealth, joy, and prosperity, as well as thanksgiving to deities.

All Terrific Tuesday activities are included within the admission price.

If you'd like to attend multiple Terrific Tuesdays, and Museum events then you can purchase an Annual Pass which costs £35 for adults, £25 for children and family pass prices start from £60.
