Chiltern Open Air Museum
Chiltern Open Air Museum is an award winning open air museum with 37 reconstructed historic vernacular buildings, working historic farm with livestock, traditional gardens and woodland.
We welcome around 60,000 visitors annually including 15,000 school children. Our formal education programme includes school workshops and theme days and experience days and workshops for adults. We run an extensive events programme and run a variety of outreach projects.
We are an independent charity that receives no regular government funding. We have to generate all of our own income from admissions, cafe and shop spend, memberships, workshops, private hire and donations.
COAM operates with a small team of staff supported by over 250 volunteers who have a passion for the Museum and cake!
