Halloween at Chiltern Open Air Museum

Our Halloween Spectacular is back on Friday, 1 November from 5pm to 9pm.

Come and join us for an evening of spooky fun.

See our buildings dressed up spooctacularly, listen to spine tingling storytelling, watch out for the spooky horses, warm yourself up by the bonfire & toast some marshmallows, and brave the scary walk but watch out for monsters!

Enjoy the amazing fire-performance and take part in family activities.

There will be two time slots for admissions one at 5pm and one at 6pm.

Please pre-book your tickets. Early Bird admission prices are available until 30 September.

  • This event is highly likely to sell out so please pre-book your tickets to avoid disappointment

  • There are two different admission times available from 5pm and from 6pm - Our 5pm time slot has now SOLD OUT. There are still tickets left for the 6pm time slot

Additional Information

  • We will have 3 external food outlets onsite for the event. Barbarian Grill (brisket burgers and hot dogs), Funky Elephant (Caribbean food), and a Spanish food outlet

  • There will be an additional charge for marshmallow toasting of £1 - please bring cash

  • There is an additional charge for candle making in Sewell Nissen hut - please bring cash

  • This is an outdoor event so please dress warmly

  • The site can be very dark in places so please bring a torch

  • Fancy dress in encouraged

  • Dogs on short leads are welcome on-site but it is not recommended that you bring them to this event

  • Photography and filming may take place during this event for the Museum archives and publicity. These photographs and video footage may appear in promotional or educational materials including on our websites, social media pages, newsletters, or in newspapers and magazines. If you do not wish to be photographed, please speak to the photographer.
