Discover the films and TV series that have filmed at the Museum

See our buildings in a new light! Our historical buildings and scenic surroundings have graced numerous critically acclaimed projects and have even taken centre stage in Downton Abbey.

Join one of our knowledgeable volunteers for an engaging tour around the different filming locations at the Museum used in films and TV programmes including Call the Midwife, Midsomer Murders, Taskmaster, My Lady Jane, Mary Queen of Scots and Horrible Histories.

The tour will start at the ticket office at 10:30am and needs to be pre-booked. The tour is aimed at adults.

Event Information

  • With 45 acres at your disposal, there is plenty to explore, including woodlands and an exciting adventure playground

  • Dogs on short leads are welcome but must not go inside residential buildings

  • Light lunches, drinks, cakes and snacks are available to purchase from our Skippings Barn

  • Sensory backpacks are available to borrow (subject to availability)

  • Mobility scooters are available to borrow (subject to availability - pre-booking is advised)

  • Lots of free parking
