Flying drones at Chiltern Open Air Museum
Chiltern Open Air Museum does not permit any drone flying on our site.
We may make use of drones for survey, inspection, filming and photography. Such work is commissioned in response to a specific need and undertaken for us by professional contractors.
We may also grant permission for drone-related commercial filming by established professional production companies in certain circumstances.
Drone flying by visitors
We do not allow drone flying by the public on our site for the following reasons:
• Our site is a place of wellbeing and calm. The use of drones can be intrusive and have an impact on the peaceful enjoyment of our site by other visitors.
• There are lots of wildlife and livestock on our site which are sensitive to disturbance, especially at breeding times.
• If a drone causes damage or injury, members of the general public rarely have the correct insurances, or level of insurances, to adequately compensate those affected.
