A few frequently asked questions (FAQ) about the Museum and visiting:
Do I need to book a place for events if I have an Annual Pass?
An Annual Pass allows you free entry to all of our events except night-time events and special fundraising events this will be clearly marked on the Events page.
You will need to pre-book an Annual Pass ticket for our Halloween Spectacular and events where numbers a limited. For Halloween there is an additional £4.00 charge for all Annual Pass holders.
Can I purchase an Annual Pass on the day/in the Ticket Office?
Yes and if you purchase on the day of your visit we will even refund your ticket price (excludes tickets purchased through external sources).
How do I book a mobility scooter?
We have four mobility scooters available and strongly recommend that you pre-book one before you visit. To make a booking please call the office on 01494 871 117 or email enquiries@coam.org.uk.
What times are you open?
We are now open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 10am until 5pm. Last admission is at 3.30pm.
What time is the Café open?
The Village Kitchen Café in Skippings Barn is open from 11am to 4pm during term time and from 10.30am-4pm during school holidays and at weekends (last hot food service 3.00pm).
Is there a guide book I can purchase?
You can buy a family guide book at our ticket office for £3.50.
What kind of footwear is appropriate?
In wet weather the site can be muddy and slippery and some paths may be uneven, so please take care and wear supportive footwear suitable for the weather conditions.
Are there any aeroplanes?
We are an outdoor museum (‘open-air’) – we do not have any aeroplanes!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we welcome dogs on site. They must be kept on a short lead at all times and are allowed in our historic buildings except for the furnished homes.
