A collection of over 5000 objects
The Museum’s primary collection is its historic buildings. However, we also conserve over 5000 artefacts which help provide context for the buildings.
Conservation and cleaning of the artefacts is carried out by a dedicated team of volunteers. Much of this work takes place during the closed winter season.
Some objects are on display in the buildings, others are kept in our artefacts store. Look out for occasional tours of the artefacts store during the year, which will be highlighted in the Ticket Office.
If you have an artefact that you would like to donate to the Museum please send a picture and details to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, unsolicited donations received in the post or left at the Museum will be disposed of.
